Robert and Lenore McGinnis Meritorious Student Award
A fund in the name of the Robert and Lenore McGinnis Meritorious Student Award was established in September 1989 in honour of Dr. Bob McGinnis' twenty-eight years of service with The University of Manitoba Faculty of Agricultural and Food Sciences, including ten years of dedicated leadership as dean of that faculty. From the income on this fund, an annual award will be made available to the student who:

(1) graduates from either the degree or diploma program in Agricultural and Food Sciences at The University of Manitoba;

(2) achieves the highest cumulative awards grade point average over the final year two years while registered for at least 80 percent of a full academic course-load.

The award is open to all students regardless of citizenship and is intended to assist them in becoming established in their careers upon graduation.

The selection committee shall be the Awards Committee of the Dean of the Faculty of Agricultural and Foods Sciences.
