Award Information
E.W. Stringham Award for Excellence in Animal Systems
To mark the retirement of Dr. Elwood W. Stringham, his colleagues and friends have established an awards fund. The Manitoba Scholarship and Bursary Initiative has made a contribution to this fund.

From this fund an annual award of $400 will be made, effective with Convocation in May, 1984, to a student who, in fulfilling graduation requirements for the Bachelor of Science in Agriculture has majored in Animal Systems. The award will be based on:

(1) high academic performance in a minimum of 27 credit hours in Animal Systems courses;

(2) qualities of personal excellence, unselfish service, and potential for leadership in the field of Animal Systems.

If, in the judgment of the selection committee, no student has achieved at a sufficiently high level to warrant receipt of this award in a given year, no award need be made in that year.

If either or both of earnings on, or further contributions to, the fund supporting this award permit, the value of the award will be increased.

The selection committee for this award will be the departmental council of the Department of Animal Systems which will recommend its selection to the Faculty Awards Committee.
