Nevin Estate Fellowship
From the testamentary gift of Mr. John A. Nevin, a fund in the amount of $237,000 supporting various awards has been established at The University of Manitoba. The available annual interest from this fund (initially $14,000) shall be distributed as follows:

One Fellowship in Animal Breeding and Genetics ($18,000)

A fellowship in the amount of $18,000 per year shall be offered to a student in animal breeding and genetics working with beef cattle. Preference will be given to a student engaged in the research and development of shorthorn cattle. The fellowship will be available to M.Sc. (two years) and Ph.D. (three years) students, renewable for one and two years respectively at the discretion of the selection committee.

The selection committee shall be the Awards Committee of the Department of Animal Science together with the Dean of Graduate Studies or designate.

One Fellowship valued at $18,000.00 for 18-19
