Eastern Grassland Society Inc. Bursary
At the time of their disbandment in 2003, the Eastern Grassland Society Inc. established an endowment fund of $12,000 to provide a bursary for students in the Faculty of Agricultural and Food Sciences or the School of Agriculture. From the time of their formation in 1973, the Eastern Grassland Society Inc. assisted forage and livestock producers in developing and promoting the latest technology for use on their farms. The award will first be offered in the fall of 2005.

The bursary, valued at the available annual income, will be offered to a student who:

(1) is enroled as a full-time student in the School of Agriculture (diploma program) or the third year of study in the Faculty of Agricultural and Food Sciences (degree program) at the University of Manitoba;

(2) has achieved a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.5;

(3) has graduated from Springfield Collegiate, Edward Schreyer School, or Lac du Bonnet Senior;

(4) has demonstrated financial need on the standard University of Manitoba bursary application form.

The selection committee shall be the Awards Committee of the Faculty of Agricultural and Food Sciences.
