Award Information
Cyril L. Anderson – Feed-Rite Award in Animal Science – Degree
From the gift of Mrs. Charlotte Anderson in memory of her husband, an awards fund has been established at The University of Manitoba. In 2015, the fund was made into an endowment. An annual prize valued at 5% of the available annual interest will be given to the student in the degree course in Agricultural and Food Sciences who:

(1) in fulfilling graduation requirements has:

(a) specialized in the Animal Systems Program, and

(b) a minimum degree grade point average of 3.0,

(2) has the highest average awards standing in:

(a) Anatomy and Physiology II: Nutrient Utilization (currently numbered ANSC 2520), and

(b) Feed and Feeding (currently numbered ANSC 3510).

In the event of a tie, degree GPA will be used as the primary tiebreaker, and a secondary tiebreaker will be the most recent Regular Session GPA.

If, in the judgment of the selection committee, no student completes work of sufficient merit in any year to warrant receipt of this prize, such prize need not be awarded in that year. The selection committee will be the Faculty Awards Committee, who will receive recommendations from the Departmental Council of the Department of Animal Science.

The Board of Governors of the University of Manitoba has the right to modify the terms of this award if, because of changed conditions, it becomes necessary to do so. Such modification shall conform as closely as possible to the expressed intention of the donor in establishing the award.
