Award Information
Interlake Grassland Society Bursaries
In memory of Herb Kernested, the Interlake Grassland Society has established a bursary fund at The University of Manitoba. For each of the three years 1982 through 1984, an amount of $900 will be available to provide bursary awards to students who:

(1) have completed third year in the Faculty of Agricultural and Food Sciences;

(2) register in the next ensuing academic year in fourth year.

Within the money available, the selection committee may award one or more bursaries provided that no single award is less than $200. This bursary fund will be reviewed after the third annual award(s) and, if earnings permit, the amount available for award will be increased.

Whenever possible, preference will be given to students whose major field of study is Animal Science and/or Forage Crops. If other factors are equal, preference will be given to students from the Interlake area of Manitoba.

The selection committee shall be the Faculty of Agricultural and Food Sciences Awards Committee and a representative of the Financial Aid and Award Office.

The University of Manitoba has the right to make such changes in terms of award as, in its judgment, changed conditions make necessary. Such changes should accord as closely as possible to the intent of the donors in establishing the fund.
