Cyril L. Anderson – Feed-Rite Prize – Diploma Agriculture
From the gift of Mrs. Charlotte Anderson in memory of her husband, an awards fund has been established at The University of Manitoba. In 2015, the fund was made into an endowment. An annual prize of 5% of the available annual interest will be awarded to a student who, in fulfilling the graduation requirements in the diploma program in Agriculture meets the additional following criteria:

(1) Minimum degree grade point average of 3.00 at graduation.

(2) Minimum of 80 percent of a normal course-load in the final year of study as defined by the School of Agriculture.

(3) Has the highest standing in the courses:

(i) Animal Biology and Nutrition (currently numbered ANSC 0420), and

(ii) Animal Health & Welfare (currently numbered ANSC 0600).

In the event of a tie, degree GPA shall be used as the deciding factor.

The selection committee will be the Faculty of Agricultural and Food Sciences Awards Committee.

This award will be made annually at the diploma graduation banquet.

The Board of Governors of the University of Manitoba has the right to modify the terms of this award if, because of changed conditions, it becomes necessary to do so. Such modification shall conform as closely as possible to the expressed intention of the donor in establishing the award.
