Keystone Agricultural Producers/Nesbitt Leadership and Communications Scholarship
Description:
The Keystone Agricultural Producers (KAP) and the family of Jack Nesbitt, former Associate Director of the School of Agriculture at the University of Manitoba, offer an annual scholarship to students at the end of the first term in the Diploma in Agriculture program at the University of Manitoba.

The scholarship will be valued at $500 and will be offered to a student who:

(1) has completed the first term of the first year of the Diploma in Agriculture program in the School of Agriculture at the University of Manitoba and has achieved a minimum grade point average of 3.0;

(2) achieved a minimum grade of B+ in the course Communication and Learning Skills (currently numbered 065.040);

(3) has demonstrated leadership ability, both in the School of Agriculture and prior to being admitted to the Diploma program;

(4) enrols full-time in the second term of the first year of the Diploma in Agriculture program in the School of Agriculture.

Applicants for this award will be asked to submit a brief letter outlining their leadership experiences. The award will be advertised by the School of Agriculture and the School will set the deadline date each year. The applications will be collected by the general office of the School of Agriculture.

The selection committee shall be the Faculty of Agricultural and Food Sciences Awards Committee.
